SOLE-FUL SPRING
The Shops at Skyview is excited to announce our new event “SOLE-FUL Spring”, which was created to welcome spring and aims to bring the community together through an immersive creative experience, art showcase by local artist Jason H. Lee and a sneaker drive.
Participants who donate a pair of sneakers (new or gently worn) will receive coupons from participating tenants along with complimentary drinks.
In partnership with the Queens Borough President’s Office, the sneakers will be donated to students in need within the community, adding color and comfort to their lives as they embrace the spring season.
Artist Jason H. Lee envisions creating portraits featuring prominent figures from the sports and fashion industries. These portraits will be intertwined with delicate, fluttering butterflies and are aimed at infusing the community with positivity during the spring season. In order to encourage sneaker donations, he plans to offer 10 limited-edition t-shirts designed by him to the first 10 donors.

Jason H. Lee is a New York based mixed-media artist originally from Masan, South Korea. He uses curious and uncharacteristic materials in the creation of his work such as water, fire, matches, and recycled sneakers. He participated in Skyview’s K-Fun Day last year and created an eye-catch work with sneakers from Nike, Adidas and more.
